About the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles

The survey and awards program identifies, recognizes and honors the best employers in Los Angeles—benefiting the county’s economy, workforce and businesses. To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Have at least 15 full- or part-time permanent employees working in Los Angeles County
  • Have a physical operation in Los Angeles County
  • Are a publicly or privately held organization
  • Are a for-profit, not-for-profit, or a government organization
  • Have been in business for at least one year, at the program registration deadline

Companies from across the county entered the detailed Best Places to Work survey process conducted by Workforce Research Group—which ranked small, medium, and large companies on leadership, corporate culture, communications and more. Winners were judged on the provided benefits, policies, practices, and demographics (20%) and through the results of an employee survey (80%). The survey focused on areas such as role satisfaction, culture, diversity and inclusion, and work-life balance.

The Best Places to Work winners were revealed at the awards ceremony on August 11, 2022, and published in the August 15, 2022 issue of the Los Angeles Business Journal.
