Siran is a DISQO's controller.  She is passionate about being a servant leader, empowering her team to reach their full potential. She strives to foster an open environment where everyone on the team feels valued, respected, and encouraged to share their ideas.

What’s one of your favorite or proudest DISQO leadership moments?

My favorite leadership moments (there are many!) seem to happen regularly at DISQO. Our executive team sets an amazing example for the rest of us by listening, collaborating, encouraging, and teaching all of us. It is difficult to find companies where the executive team is as accessible as they are here. They make it easy for the rest of us to do well and succeed. 

Sometimes our careers take unexpected turns. Were there any unexpected twists in your career journey and what lessons did you learn from those experiences?

My career has taken many unexpected turns...let's just say that at one point, I thought I was going to be a pharmacist! I keep coming back to accounting though.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a people leader at DISQO?

Seeing your team members' growth and development. It's nice to quietly cheer on your team and watch them succeed. 

When you’re not focused on DISQO, what might we find you doing?

I love to cook and spend time with my family, friends, and dogs. I also collect houseplants (I have 75-100 currently), so plant chores take up a good amount of my time. My friends say that I am "crunchy" or "granola." I like to make homemade salves, ointments, serums, and soaps and I  spend time researching and making natural alternatives for store-bought health and beauty items.
