For me, it’s mostly about how to enable people to be the best versions of themselves. Learning their strengths and weaknesses in order to understand when to guide, nudge or sit back and observe.
We have a habit of rotating the facilitator role in our planning meetings. It has been very rewarding to see how that has helped individuals grow from pondering if they should offer an opinion to full-blown drivers of conversation that also encourage others to participate.
Before DISQO, I had spent 16 years in the fintech industry so it was a pretty major change of scenery. Everything was new and, in the beginning, I felt rather useless. This turned out to be an important reminder that one doesn’t have to be all-powerful and, at times, the most important thing to do is simply to listen.
A cliche answer but it's the fact that you get work with and help all sorts of brilliant people across the company.
