What do you love most about your job?

I’m passionate about turning raw data into clear, visual narratives, uncovering patterns, and driving precise business decisions. At the same time, I enjoy the ongoing opportunities to engage with new technologies and expand my expertise, like building up data assets and exploring new BI Tools. 

What does your ideal Saturday look like?

It starts with a relaxed morning, maybe a coffee while catching up on something interesting. I enjoy spending time outdoors, so if the weather's nice, I’d likely head out for a hike or a walk.

What’s one of your favorite or proudest DISQO moments?

My favorite moments at DISQO involve applying my data skills to help deliver meaningful results for both tech and non-tech teams. In one instance, I had the opportunity to use my expertise in data structuring to streamline data exploration for the marketing team by creating automated and timely visualization reports. This involved a significant effort and intense focus on creating user-friendly reports that met the team's needs. Ultimately, these reports reduced their manual work by more than 30%, significantly improving efficiency and productivity. Additionally, I played a key role in building new silver- and gold-level data assets, providing all technical and non-technical teams with well-defined, accessible data. 

What was the last TV show you binge-watched?

The last TV show I binge-watched was The Double, a Chinese TV Series. Once I got hooked, I couldn’t stop watching!

What’s something most people don’t know about your role?

One aspect of my role that often goes unnoticed is its detail-oriented nature. As a Senior Data Analyst, ensuring that every data point is accurate, structured properly, and easy to analyze is essential. It’s not just about gathering data but also about refining, cleaning, and ensuring consistency across datasets, automating processes, and crafting user-friendly, comprehensive reports. Every detail must be precise to ensure insights are derived seamlessly, which requires a strong focus on accuracy and consistency to support effective decision-making across all teams.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself!

I was born in Sichuan, China—the home of the famous spicy hotpot. Growing up in this region, I developed a deep love for spicy flavors. I even enjoy starting my day with a boiled egg and spicy chili. I also love snacking on different spicy sauces. It’s a flavor I can’t get enough of!
